LIPA 4-19
The classes take place on a Saturday or Sunday and last for one and a half hours
The Early Start classes incorporate dance, drama and singing and are all about enhancing natural creativity and developing self-confidence. The lessons are taught with warmth and a passion for acting, dancing and singing. The lessons are fun and help children to develop physical skills, language ability, listening skills and imagination.
These early years also set the basic foundations for when the students progress on to the main academy, where they then get to focus on each discipline individually.
Our training includes games, exercises and themed workshops that stretch the imagination, build self-confidence and help with self-expression. They also help with language development and improve communication skills.
Curriculum work will include:
Voice projection and exploring voice dynamics, such as soft, loud, quiet
Dance is introduced through choreographed movement sessions and physical exercise. Students develop balance and co-ordination as well as the ability to follow instruction and remember steps.
Curriculum work will include:
Undertaking development exercise for pointing and flexing of the feet
Children learn songs from different musical styles and enjoy general musicianship exercises. They also learn to recognise and understand rhythms.
Curriculum work will include:
Encouragement to sing alone or in a small group
